This video was created as a school project to reimagine Dr. Martens for a new season of street style. It was my first real experience managing every aspect of the process, from pre-production and storyboarding to directing, shooting, and editing the final cut.

I searched for a soundtrack that would capture the restless energy and edge at the heart of the brand. “Sailor Song” stood out with its pulsing rhythm and raw spirit, echoing the beat of city pavements and the sense of rebellion that defines Dr. Martens. The track was also trending at the time, perfectly fitting the energy and timing of the proposed campaign period. Its sound is modern and bold, lending every frame a feeling of movement and possibility.

As the weather shifted and locations changed, I found myself improvising and letting the song guide the visuals, capturing boots on concrete, city lights, and moments of individuality. The music’s attitude matched the vision of streetwise, confident, and a little bit wild. Through this process, I learned to adapt quickly, discovering new compositions and creative solutions with each challenge. The result is a film that feels true to Dr. Martens: restless, authentic, and always moving forward.
